The little red cross in a box is displayed next to synchronized topic instead of task icon.

This is known issue. It happers rarely, approximately once per 40 XMindlook launches. Current workaround is to restart XMind. Also freeing some before restart RAM may help to resolve it.

You may also try to recreate the map: 1. collapse all of the topics (in Modify menu)
2. select all topics except for the main one
3. copy them to the clipboard
4. paste onto a fresh map

It was confirmed that this bug was coming from XMind, not XMindlook. The new version of XMind (coming soon) will resolve it.

XMindlook version 1.0.2 has a temporary fix for this issue while we wait for new XMind release.
